The Information Technology Division is pleased to announce our call for nominations for its 2009 awards. We will be issuing the following awards at the 2009 National APA Conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. The deadline to submit an award is February 20th, 2009.

The Technology Division is launching a series of webinars to train planners in the use of technology in their work. Starting in the Fall of 2008, the Technology Division will offer webinars in three tracks:
- Technology for Planners 101
- GIS for Planners 101
- Tech Future
The Technology for Planners 101 sessions will cover general use of technology in planning, including web applications, public input technologies (such as wikis, keypad polling and online mapping), outreach technology, project management and data analysis tools.

Call for Submissions: Winter 2009 Planning & Technology Today
A reminder that the new format of the Technology Division newsletter will include one or two feature length articles in each issue. We will also be including one page updates on various technologies and tools of interest. Our regular one page articles will cover Public Participation, GIS, Online Tools, Visualization, and Scenario Planning.
